Equestrian Closes Fall IHSA Slate With Win
CHEVY CHASE, Md. - The Goucher College equestrian team took High Point Team honors at the University of Maryland IHSA show at Meadowbook Stables on Sunday to close out fall IHSA competition. The Gophers finished with 40 points, with Reserve High Point Team Maryland collecting 37.
Hope Verschleiser finished as the Reserve High Point rider for the show after taking first in Open Fences and first in Intermediate Flat.
Sues Hardee finished second in Limit Flat, qualifying for regionals. Quinn Kirkpatrick placed fifth in Limit Flat, while Simcha McGowan was second in Novice Flat.
Adriana Hardin took home third in Limit Fences, with Isabelle Butts coming in fifth in Novice Flat.
Gidi Katz was first in Intro.
Goucher rounds out the first semester on Saturday, December 7 when it competes in the Holiday Classic Tournament of Champions at Virginia Tech.
