Gophers Land High Point Team at Maryland
COLLEGE PARK, MD - Goucher College traveled to the University of Maryland to compete in the IHSA show. With numerous first-place finishes, Goucher earns the High Point team, with the University of Maryland earning reserve.
Hope Verschleiser led the way for the Gophers, claiming High Point Rider with first-place finishes in both Open Flat and Open Fences. She was joined by eight additional Gophers, earning first-place on the day. Zoe Wright-Riley took first in intermediate flat, while both Cameron Andruskiewicz and Addi Haskins captured first in Limit Fences. Adriana Hardin placed first in the limit flat showing. Additional first-place results came from Christina Whiteman in Novice Flat, Estella Smith in Limit Flat, and Celeste Huertas in the Intro category.
Goucher also saw several podium finishes across the competition. Joci Harris placed first in Intermediate Fences and added a fourth-place showing in Intermediate Flat. Zara Heslop, claimed second in Limit Flat, while Sues Hardee earned third in Intermediate Fences, and Skylar Godwin finished third in Novice Flat.
