Gophers Capture Regional Championship at Home IHSA Show

BALTIMORE, MD- The Gophers hosted their IHSA show today; the team now leads the region by 51 points, securing them the regional championship. 

Adriana Hardin earned first place in intermediate flat and followed with a fourth-place finish in intermediate fences, earning the Reserve High Point Rider honor. Celeste Huertas placed first in the intro division. Goucher added three more first-place finishes, with Cameron Andruskiewicz winning limit fences, Addi Haskins taking first in limit flat, and Estella Smith winning intermediate flat. The Gophers also secured additional podium finishes. Eleanor Tabke placed second in novice flat, while Hope Verschleiser recorded two top-three finishes with second in open fences and third in open flat. Rounding out the Gopher riders, Zara Heslop finished sixth in limit flat.

The Gophers return to action on Sunday, March 8, at the University of Maryland IHSA Show.
