Gophers Earn High Point Honors at Maryland, Finish Regular Season Undefeated
COLLEGE PARK, MD- The Gophers earned High Point Team honors today at the University of Maryland, securing an undefeated regular season.
Leading the Gophers was Hope Verschleiser, who earned Reserve High Point Rider and qualified for regionals with a second-place finish in open flat and a first-place finish in open fences. Goucher had multiple first-place finishers, including Iris Hamilton and Addi Haskins in limit fences, Cameron Andruskiewicz in limit flat, Christina Mlynarski in intermediate fences, and Isabelle Butts in novice flat.
Zoe Wright-Riley earned two second-place finishes in intermediate flat and intermediate fences. Sues Hardee also secured a second-place finish in intermediate fences. Rounding out the Gophers, Estella Smith finished second in intermediate flat, and Zara Heslop placed second in limit flat.
The Gophers return to action on Sunday, March 15, when they will compete at the Zone IV Region I Championships at the University of Maryland.
