Gophers Earn Reserve Champion at ANRC National Championship
OWINGS MILLS, MD - The Goucher College Equestrian Team competed at the ANRC National Championship, where they delivered an impressive performance and clinched Reserve Champion in their division.
In the Novice Written Phase, Adriana Hardin earned seventh place. During the Novice Program Ride, Cameron Andruskiewicz earned a second-place finish and was joined by Hope Verschleiser, who placed seventh. Hardin also competed in the Novice Program Ride, finishing 14th. Verschleiser earned a podium finish in the Novice Derby Phase, placing third, while Hardin followed closely behind in fourth. Andruskiewicz also competed in the Novice Derby Phase, finishing seventh. Verschleiser continued her strong performance with a first-place finish in the Novice Medal Phase. Andruskiewicz added a fifth-place finish in the same category, while Hardin rounded out the Gophers with an 11th-place finish.
In the novice individual overall standings, Verschleiser placed third with a total score of 82.41. Andruskiewicz followed in sixth with a score of 79.72, while Hardin finished eighth with a 73.03.
In the novice team standings, Goucher earned first place in the Derby Phase with a score of 46.65. The Gophers also secured first place in the Medal Phase with a score of 46.65. During the Program Ride, Goucher placed second with a score of 59.15. The Gophers finished fifth in the Written Phase with a score of 8.45.
In the individual overall standings, Sues Hardee earned sixth place with a total score of 77.35. She recorded sixth-place finishes in the Program Ride and Medal Phase, seventh in the Derby Phase, and eighth in the Written Phase.
The Gophers return to action on May 1 when they head to the IHSA National Championship.
