November 8, 2006

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD — Danielle Marks (Dover, PA/Dover Area) and Kelsey Havens (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville) were both selected to represent Goucher on the 2006 All-Capital Athletic Conference Field Hockey Team, which was revealed today.

In balloting by the conference's seven head coaches, Marks and Havens, two of the three seniors on Goucher's 2006 roster, were voted onto the All-CAC second team at midfielder and forward, respectively.

Both players started all 15 games for the Gophers in 2006. Marks, an All-CAC second-team selection for the second year in a row, made two defensive saves in 2006, one in Goucher's 2-1 (OT) loss to Philadelphia Biblical and the other against Salisbury in the opening round of the CAC championship tournament. Havens tallied the Gophers' only goal against Philadelphia Biblical and made two defensive saves in a 6-0 loss to Catholic.
