ELIZABETHTOWN, PA In order to end its seven-game losing streak, Goucher was going to have to find a way to knock off nationally ranked Elizabethtown today. The Gophers (1-12) did hold the Blue Jays to only two goals in the first half, but then surrendered six more in the second half to lose 8-0.

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA — In order to end its seven-game
losing streak, Goucher was going to have to find a way to knock off
nationally ranked Elizabethtown today. The Gophers (1-12) did hold
the Blue Jays to only two goals in the first half, but then
surrendered six more in the second half to lose 8-0.
The Blue Jays (15-2), 11th in the latest Division III national
rankings, finished with a commanding 32-0 advantage in shots. They
assumed a 1-0 lead on a goal by Whitney Brown less than two minutes
into the contest. Karyn Snyder accounted for three of the team's
goals in the second half.
Aline Haddad (Bangor, PA/Bangor) added to her
Capital Athletic Conference-leading saves total with 12 more today.
After 13 games, her total stands at 184.
