MADISON, N.J. – Even after surrendering a goal approximately 4:00 into today's Landmark Conference game, Goucher stayed within a goal of Drew until the Rangers erupted for three scores in the second half to earn a 4-0 victory over the Gophers.
Drew (6-4, 1-0 Landmark) led 1-0 at the half thanks to a goal by Meghan Howlett, but the Rangers didn't score again until Lauren Collini tallied a pair of goals just six minutes apart early in the second period.
The Rangers added one more goal by Elizabeth Law with approximately 23:00 remaining to close out the scoring.
The Gophers (3-6, 0-1 Landmark) were awarded the first penalty corner of the contest, but were not able to get a shot off. The Rangers attempted a total of 16 shots, nine of which were stopped by freshman goalie Chloe Dircks (Williamstown, Mass./Williston Northhampton).
