Metzger Represents Goucher on All-Landmark Team

Junior Midfielder's Reward for Five-Goal, Three-Assist Performance

MADISON, N.J. — Junior midfielder Allison Metzger (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) has been chosen to represent Goucher on the 2009 All-Landmark Conference Field Hockey Team.

As revealed today, the team includes 24 student-athletes, with at least one from each of the seven institutions in the Landmark Conference which sponsor field hockey as an intercollegiate sport. Voting was done by the head coaches and the balloting produced 12 first-team selections and an equal number of players on a second unit.

Metzger, a three-year starter for the Gophers, was placed on the All-Landmark second team. She was Goucher's leading scorer in 2009 as she tallied five goals and picked up assists on three additional goals for a total of 13 points.
