Gophers Suffer 1-0 Setback to Crusaders

It wasn't until the second half, when the Gophers had a 6-4 advantage in shots, that the Crusaders put one of their four shots in the net to earn a 1-0 Landmark Conference victory.
Manheimer Faces 15 Shots, Makes Eight Saves in First 35:00

Junior Micki Manheimer (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth), who was making her 31st career start in goal for Goucher (3-9, 0-4 Landmark), made plays on eight of Susquehanna's shots in the first half to keep the Crusaders (7-6, 3-1 Landmark) off the scoreboard.
Erin Ferguson, who went the distance in goal for Susquehanna, earned the shutout with a three-save effort, turning away shots by senior forward Catherine Armao (Pleasantville, N.Y./Pleasantville), senior midfielder Sara Spadanuta (Hackettstown, N.J./Warren Hills) and sophomore midfielder Angela Buxton (Springfield, Mass./Central) in the second half.
The only goal of the contest was scored by Susquehanna's Erica Reichart just over five minutes into the second period. Reichart knocked in a short pass in front of the net from Julia Amendola.
