TOWSON, Md. — For the second time already this season, Justine Ruhlin (Cornish, Maine/Sacopee Valley) tallied the only goal in a victory for Goucher this afternoon. This time the freshman midfielder/forward's goal with 14:03 left to play accounted for all of the scoring in a 1-0 triumph over Albright.
Lindsay Jones (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr School) picked up an assist on the game-winning goal as she delivered a long pass from near midfield to Ruhlin, who one-timed it past Albright goalie Marguerite DeLucas.
Back on Sept. 10, Ruhlin's unassisted goal 7:50 into overtime propelled the Gophers past Bryn Mawr, 1-0.
The Gophers (4-1) had only three other shots in today's non-conference contest. The Lions (0-6), who are still in search of their first goal of the season after six games, were able to get off a total of seven shots, forcing senior goalie Micki Manheimer (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) to make three saves to earn her fourth shutout of the season and eighth of her career.
