Goucher in 1st Place After OT Win Against Juniata

BALTIMORE, MD. - Scoring 2 unanswered goals helps Goucher win first Landmark game of the season.

With an early penatly goal from Juniata's Lindsay Scholten, the Eagles controlled the pace against the Gophers for a majority of the 1st half. Goucher's Rachel Crain helped turn the tide to even the score at 1-1 with a goal at 28 minutes and 34 seconds.

Goucher and Juniata battled out an intense 2nd half. Goucher predominantly played defesne against the aggressive Eagles, eventually making some close shots of their own towards the end of regulation.

With only 1 minute and 17 seconds into overtime, Maya Belin scored the game winner with an assist from Rachel Crain. Goucher's goal keeper Liz Zengel tallied 6 saves and had a shutout in the 2nd half.
