BALTIMORE, Md. – Danielle Johnson, a member of the Goucher College field hockey team, has been named to National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III honorable mention after being selected as the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 2-8.
Johnson posted five goals and two assists for 12 points in a pair of 8-0 wins over the weekend. The senior tallied her first collegiate hat trick and added an assist against Southern Virginia University on Saturday including have a hand in two of the first three goals with a tally and an assist. She then added two goals and an assist in the victory against Ferrum on Sunday.
The senior leads the team with six goals and two assists for 14 points and leads the conference in both goals and points. She has seven goals and three assists for 17 points in her career with all of her points coming in the last two seasons.
The Gophers return to action on Saturday at Randolph-Macon. Match time is 2 p.m.
