Goucher Field Hockey Earns 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award For Eighth-Straight Year

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Goucher College field hockey team earned the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Team Award announced on Thursday.

"I am so proud of my team as they continue to impress me on and off the field," said head coach Stacey Eversley. "They really have the art of balancing school, field hockey, student clubs, activities and jobs. I don't know that they are aware of how remarkable they are but I see them working every day and it's truly commendable." 

It is the eighth-straight year the Gophers have earned the National Academic Team Award by the NFHCA.

The Division III National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of the 2019-2020 school year.

All eight of the Landmark Conference field hockey teams were among the 147 NCAA Division III programs to receive the academic award.
