BALTIMORE, Md. – The Goucher College field hockey team will be presented the Greater Baltimore Black Chambers of Commerce (GBBCC) Stakeholders Award at the 15th Anniversary Gala and Annual Meeting on Friday night. "I am extremely proud of my team," said Gophers field hockey head coach Stacey Eversley." Helping Black owned businesses in Baltimore is extremely important to them, especially since our school is located in Baltimore. This team of mine does things to make the World a better place and although I am extremely honored and proud that they are receiving this award, I know their efforts came from the hearts because they are a special group of individuals."
The Gophers field hockey team was one of the first groups to reach out to the chamber of commerce to offer assistance and the team's $650 donation helped the GBBCC to continue to serve its members.
