Field Hockey Opens 2022 On The Road September 3
TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College field hockey team begins its 2022 campaign on Saturday, September 3, travelling to Sweet Briar College for a 2:00 pm non-conference game. The Gophers are set for a 17-game slate this season, with eight of those contests coming at Beldon Field.
Goucher plays just two of its first seven contests at home, with the home opener coming Tuesday, September 6 against Notre Dame of Maryland. The Gophers are also at home September 13 against Lancaster Bible before hitting the road for three straight contests, including the Landmark Conference opener on September 24 at Drew.
A September 28 home contest against Hood opens a three-game homestand for Goucher that also includes the home conference opener against Scranton (Oct. 1) and a non-conference tilt with Southern Virginia (Oct. 5). The Gophers also play three straight home games in an eight-day span against Juniata (Oct. 15), McDaniel (Oct. 18) and Elizabethtown (Oct. 22). The regular season wraps up October 29 at Moravian.
The four-team Landmark Conference Championship features semifinal matches on Wednesday, November 2 and the championship game on Saturday, November 5.
