TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College field hockey first year Annie Bennett was the lone scorer for the Gophers, recording three goals, in a non-conference 7-3 loss against Wilson College Monday evening at Beldon Field.
- Goucher (6-4) outshot Wilson (7-1) 6-3 in the first.
- With 3:58 remaining in the quarter, Wilson pulled ahead with a goal by Hailey Steele.
- Bennett pulled the Gophers even just over a minute in to the quarter.
- Goucher ended Wilson's three-goal scoring run with a goal by Bennett from an assist by Zoe Mikles bringing the score to 4-2.
- Wilson outshot the Gophers 6-4 in the period.
- Wilson added two goals to their score in the quarter, with a pair of goals by Paige Ney.
- Mimi Taff collected two saves in the quarter.
- Bennett recorded her third goal of the game five minutes into the final quarter.
