SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Host Susquehanna University remained unbeaten in Landmark Conference field hockey play with a 5-0 win over Goucher College Tuesday evening at Sassafras Field.
- Susquehanna (9-5, 5-0 Landmark) generated two penalty corners in the first minute of the game.
- Goucher's (6-8, 1-4) Katie Bloom made her first save at the 2:20 mark.
- The River Hawks got on the board at the 3:59 mark on an Ashley Schreffler goal.
- Kaitlyn Bucci had the first Gopher shot just over 10 minutes in.
- Bloom made two more saves in the quarter.
- Kari Schmidt scored for Susquehanna just under a minute into the second.
- Sophia Prata made it 3-0 3:24 before intermission as the River Hawks led 3-0 at the break.
- Schmidt's second goal of the game nine minutes in made it 4-0.
- Bucci had a shot save with a minute left in the period.
- Goucher relief goalie Mimi Taff made her first save of the game 2:50 into the fourth.
- Prata got on the board for the second time with 11 minutes to go.
- Bucci had a shot blocked in the final minute as Goucher generated a penalty corner.
- Susquehanna took 19 shots to the Gophers' three and held a 12-1 lead in penalty corners.
- Bloom made three saves in 45 minutes, while Taff registered one stop in her 15 minutes in the cage.
- Ashley Derrick made one save for the shutout for the River Hawks.
- SU remained tied with Catholic atop the Landmark standings.
