Seven Athletes Earn Scholar of Distinction from NFHCA
BALTIMORE, MD - The Goucher College field hockey team added more academic accolades to top off the successful 2025 season. The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced its scholars of distinction, which honors undergraduate student-athletes who have a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the fall semester.
This award recognized 1,028 athletes across the NCAA, 543 of whom were student-athletes at the Division III level. From Goucher, this included first years, Ava Barnes and Asmi Suresh. The junior class compiled the remainder of the award winners, including Katie Bloom, Angelena Holmes, Baylee Klose, Emma Nelson, and Camden West.
Two NFHCA collegiate academic awards are yet to be unveiled — the NFHCA National Academic Team awards on February 17, and concluding with the announcement of the National Scholar-Athlete on February 19.
