Alison Sacco enters her third season with the Goucher field hockey staff after completing her degree at Goucher College in May.

She joined Megan William's staff in 2015 and is a 2014 graduate of Misericordia University, where she played both field hockey and lacrosse. She was a four-year starter for both teams, helping the Cougars reach the Freedom Conference Championships in her senior season for both sports.

At Misericordia, she played in 68 career field hockey games, anchoring the Cougars' defense; starting every game in her final three seasons.

She also led the defense in lacrosse, racking up 102 ground balls while causing 43 turnovers throughout her career.

Sacco comes to Goucher, following one season as an assistant field hockey coach at Albright College and as an assistant lacrosse coach at her high school alma mater, Governor Mifflin, where she led the Mustangs to the Berks County Championships and the District tournament. She has also worked numerous camps for both sports, as well as assisting with her former club field hockey team.

In the summer of 2016, Sacco worked at the National Training Center as the US National Field Hockey Team prepared for their trip to Rio.

She earned a bachelor's degree in history and secondary education at Misericordia and her master's of education with a specialization in athletic program leadership and administration at Goucher.
