KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Goucher College men's basketball junior Gabe Ceribelli (Monkton, Md.) has been named to the 2017-18 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, which was announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that student-athletes from across the country possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows:
- Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
- Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2017-18 academic year.
- Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
- Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
Ceribelli, who is an economics and business management major at Goucher, boasts a 3.33 GPA and was also named to the Landmark Conference's Academic Honor Roll for the Winter 2018 season.
On the court during the 2017-18 campaign, Ceribelli saw action in 23 of the 24 games the Gophers played on the season, making 10 starts at guard. He went into double-figures in the scoring column seven times throughout the course of the season, ending the year averaging 7.6 points per game. Ceribelli also pulled down 3.4 rebounds per contest, had 33 total steals, and dished out 28 assists, as well.
