Gophers Fall Short Against the Eagles

Huntingdon, Pa.- Gophers (4-19, 3-13 Landmark) fight in conference match-up against the Juniata College Eagles (2-21, 2-14 Landmark). The game, held at Juniata College, had a second half surge that cemented the Eagle's win.
- Brian Griffin score first with a 2-pointer in the first minute.
- Back-to-back scoring by Chima Egeonu and Darnell Morris Jr. extend the Gopher lead with (15:40) remaining.
- Eagles take the lead with consecutive baskets with (12:45) left in the half.
- Egeonu dunks shortening the Eagle's lead (6:57).
- Juniata maintains their lead, 25-17, going into halftime.
- Darrell Green starts the half with a 3-pointer.
- With (16:18) remaining Egeonu dunks, again, to tie the game.
- Juniata ends the three minute and twelve second scoring stalemate with (12:42) left in the half.
- John Dixon chips at the Eagle lead with a 2-pointer at (9:29).
- Eagles extend their lead with an eight point scoring run stopped by Jon Perry.
- Juniata maintains their lead through most of the half winning 60-46.
- Griffin was the Gophers top scorer with 11 points. He also had three steals and two rebounds.
- Egeonu was the second highest Gopher scorer with nine points. He also have five rebounds and one assist.
- The Gophers shot 31.9% overall. They shot 1-14 beyond the arc and 75% from the free through line.
- Gophers forced 11 turnovers resulting in nine points. They completed 43 rebounds.
- Eagles shot 40% overall and 3-19 beyond the arc. They forced 17 turnovers resulting in 20 points.
- Juniata 41.7% from the line and completed 35 rebounds.
