Men's Golf's Gonzalez Named Landmark Conference's Athlete of the Week, Again

Another week, another honor for first-year Julian Gonzalez (Heredia, Costa Rica) of the Goucher College men's golf team, as he was named the Landmark Conference's Athlete of the Week for the third consecutive week on Monday.

Gonzalez earned this week's award from the Landmark Conference office after dominating the competition at the Landmark Fall Invitational in Harrisburg, Pa. over the weekend.

In the event held at the par 72 Dauphin Highlands Golf Course, Gonzalez nabbed individual medalist honors after firing an even round 72 on Saturday and a two-under 70 on Sunday to finish with a combined score of 142 to win the tournament by eight shots.

Gonzalez, who helped Goucher take the Landmark Fall Invite as a team with his performance, won last week's Revolutionary Collegiate Classic, and has now finished in the top three individually in the first four events of his collegiate career.

The Landmark Fall Invitational caped off the Fall portion of the Gophers' 2018-19 schedule. The team will return to action in March.
