Winters Leads Goucher Men's Golf At McDaniel Individual Tournament In Collegiate Debut

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Tim Winters (Howey In The Hills, Groningen/Harens Lyceum) shot an 81 in his collegiate debut to finish ninth at the McDaniel Individual Tournament on Thursday.

Winters started his afternoon with a 38 on the front nine with an even start except for a bogey on No. 2 and No. 9. After carding a par of his first two holes on the back nine, he registered at least a bogey in five of the final seven holes to register an 81 to finish in ninth place, seven strokes behind the low score.

Joe Burns (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) (11th place, 89), Kaman Wilkinson (Granbury, Texas/Godley) (14th place, 95) and Tomas Rodriguez (Richmond, Texas/George Bush) (15th place, 102) rounded out the four Gophers playing golf at the Bridges.

No teams score were recorded since it was only an individual event.

Goucher returns to action at the Don Scalf Invitational on Sunday.
