Gallegos Third, Gophers Fifth At Landmark Fall Preview

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Jose Maria Gallegos (Ahome, Mexico/Montverde Academy) finished third overall as the Goucher College men's golf team finished fifth at the Landmark Conference Fall Preview held Friday and Saturday at Susquehanna Valley Country Club.  Susquehanna Valley will host the 2023 Landmark Conference Men's Golf Championship in the spring.

The Gophers sat third after Friday after shooting 312 and finished with a two-day total of 629.  Scranton finished first at 610.

Gallegos carded a 77 on Friday and followed up with a 75 on Saturday to pace Goucher.  Khai Buttner (Boston, Mass./Boston Latin) carded a 73 on Friday and finished at 158 overall to finish 11th.

Andy Garcia (A Coruña Galicia, Spain / Colegio Plurilingüe Compañia de María) and Tim Winter (Howey In The Hills, Groningen / Harens Lyceum) posted idential rounds on both Friday and Saturday, shooting 81 on Friday and 84 on Saturday to finish tied for 21st.  Miguel Reider (Mexico City, Mexico / Tecnológico de Monterrey) placed 25th at 168.

The Landmark Preview wrapped up the fall season for Goucher.
