Ruby Improves on Day Two at The Gauntlet to Lead Gophers
LEWISBURG, PA- The Goucher College Gophers completed day two of The Gauntlet on Monday. Goucher ended the first day with a score of 312. They shot better on day two with a score of 301. The team finished in 12th place with a final score of 613 (+53).
Junior Riley Ruby led the way for the Gophers tieing for 20th place. After his day one score of 78 (+8), he shot better on day two with a score of 72 (+2). Ruby finished The Gauntlet with a final score of 150 (+10).
Teammates Tyler Lynch and Ryan Combs both tied for 35th. They both finished with a final two day score of 153 (+13). On day one, Lynch ended the course with a score of 74 and on day two 79. Combs improved by nine shots on day two on the course.
Maxime Pocat and Andy Hill Garcia also tied like teammates Lynch and Combs, but for 65th place. Their final score was 162 (+22). Pocat had a day one score of 79 and a day two score of 83. Hill Garcia finished day one with a score of 84. On day two, her shot better with a score of 78.
Goucher takes on the two day Cardinal Fall Classic at Catholic where the women's team will join them. The first day of the competition is on Saturday, September 27.
