Ruby Earns First at McDaniel Spring Invitational
ABBOTTSTOWN, PA - The Goucher College Gophers traveled for day two of the McDaniel Spring Invitational. After a day one score of 315 (+27) and a day two score of 301 (+13), the team ended with a final score of 616 (+40), Goucher ended the course in second place.
Riley Ruby earned first place following a round one score of 76 (+4) and a round two score of 72 to give him a total score of 148 (+4).
Following Ruby were teammates Tyler Lynch, Ryan Combs, and Mikolaj Pula, who all tied for eighth. Lynch finished day one with a score of 80 (+8) and shot better on day two with a score of 76 (+4). Combs ended the first round with a score of 81 (+9) and scored 75 (+3) in the second round. Pula shot the same on both days with a score of 78 (+6). All three Gophers finished the two-day competition with a score of 156 (+12).
Rounding out the Gophers is Andy Hill Garcia, who tied for 25th after a day one score of 85 (+13) and a day two score of 83 (+11). He finished the competition with a score of 168 (+24)
The Gophers return to action on Saturday, April 11th when they head to Catholic for a two-day competition.
