Senior Attackman Trails All-Time Leader by 20 Points
MADISON, N.J. — A player from Goucher was the recipient of one of the weekly honors the Landmark Conference dished out today in the sport of men's lacrosse: senior attackman Kyle Boncaro (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) was named Offensive Player of the Week for Feb. 13-19.
Boncaro became only the second player in the history of Goucher's men's lacrosse program to surpass 200 career points with his 18-point performance in the two games the Gophers played in Texas over the weekend. He contributed seven goals and three assists to the season-opening 27-7 triumph over Southwestern (Texas) on Saturday and followed up the next day with four goals and four assists in a 30-2 victory over Dallas.
With 205 points to his credit, Boncaro trails Phil Anthony (1999-2002), Goucher's all-time leader in points, by 20.
