Weekly Honor from Landmark Conference Goes to Mishaw
MADISON, N.J. — Connor Mishaw (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine), who helped preserve Goucher's 8-6 triumph over Washington (Md.) on Saturday by making five saves in the fourth quarter, this morning was named Defensive Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference for Feb. 20-26.
Junior GK's Goals-Against Average Stands at 3.28
MADISON, N.J. — Connor Mishaw (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine), who helped preserve Goucher's 8-6 triumph over Washington (Md.) on Saturday by making five saves in the fourth quarter, this morning was named Defensive Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference for Feb. 20-26.
Four of the five saves the junior goalkeeper made during the final 15 minutes came after the Shoremen had trimmed what had been a five-goal lead for the Gophers down to three. Mishaw made his final save following a goal with 1:45 remaining that made it an 8-6 game.
For the game, Mishaw stopped a total of 14 shots and
finished with a save percentage of .700. Three games into 2012
season, his goals-against average stands at 3.28.
