  • Rashaan Evans scored the eventual game-winner with 6:15 left in the fourth quarter to lift Goucher College past Lebanon Valley College 11-10 in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday. Holding a 10-8 lead going into the final frame, the Gophers saw the Flying Dutchmen cut the margin to one tally with 12:47 left. Evans then restored a two-marker lead with 6:15 remaining in the fourth to give Goucher an 11-9 edge. Lebanon Valley recorded a goal with 25 seconds left and won the ensuing faceoff, but the Goucher defense blocked a shot and Lukas Glaser scooped up the ground ball to secure the first victory of the year.
  • Grant Lasorda also notched a career high in the game with four goals. 
  • Matt Woodson added three goals and two assists for five points.
  • Justin Lugo made nine saves for his first collegiate victory in between the pipes.
  • Stephen CarpenterSam Gravel and Brandon Smith registered four ground balls and one caused turnovers each to pace the defense. Nick Patterson won 15 of 22 faceoffs in the winning effort.

  • After scoring his first collegiate tally against McDaniel College on February 27, Rashaan Evans erupted for his first career hat trick on Saturday. Evans now has four goals and one assist for five points on the young season.
  • Grant Lasorda, who has five goals on the season, previous scored a career-best two tallies on six occasions in his previous three seasons.
  • Matt Woodson posted his first hat trick of the season and third of his career. Woodson has six goals and five assists for 11 points to fuel the squad.
  • Andrew Sade, who has nine goals on the year, has scored a goal in each game this season and seven-consecutive games dating back to last season.
  • Mick Togo leads the team with eight caused turnovers and has recorded multiple turnovers in each of his last three contests.
