Jacob Morgan Named Landmark Offensive Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College men's lacrosse first year attack Jacob Morgan (Bowie, Md./Bowie) was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week Monday afternoon.  It marks the third time this season a Gopher student-athlete has been honored, as Justin Lugo has earned Defensive weekly honors twice this season.

Morgan had a hand in nine of Goucher's 12 goals in a 12-4 win over Drew as he finished with three goals and six assists in the victory.  It marked Morgan's fifth multi-goal performance and fifth multi-assist performance of the season, with his six assists one shy of his career high of seven set against Rosemont on March 22.

In 11 games, Morgan, who was also the leading scorer on the Goucher men's basketball team this past season, has totaled 21 goals and 24 assists for 45 points.  He ranks third in the Landmark Conference in assists per game and seventh in points per game.

Goucher, 5-7 overall and 2-1 in the Landmark Conference, returns to action Wednesday evening, traveling to Catholic for a 7 pm Landmark Conference contest.
