And the clock was showing just 4:05 left to play when Travis Boland (Athol, MA/Ralph C. Mahar) scored the goal that provided the home team with an exciting 3-2 victory over the Shoremen.

And the clock was showing just 4:05 left to play when Travis Boland (Athol, MA/Ralph C. Mahar) scored the goal that provided the home team with an exciting 3-2 victory over the Shoremen.
An unassisted goal by Adam Wilkinson (West Grove, PA/Avon Grove) just 12:38 into the contest staked the Gophers (3-2) to a 1-0 lead that lasted into the early moments of the second half. At 49:24, the Shoremen (2-3) drew even when their first shot on goal the entire game resulted in a goal by Frank Borelli.
Borelli scored again at 66:41 to put the Shoremen ahead 2-1.
The Gophers, who snapped a six-game losing streak to the Shoremen with a 2-1 triumph last season in Chestertown, Md., waited until 80:55 to even the score at 2-2 on McMullen's second PK of the season.
Goucher finished with a 13-7 advantage in shots and it was the 13th shot that produced Boland's game-winning goal at 85:55.
The win gives the Gophers a 6-1 record in their last seven non-conference games played on Beldon Field.
