Greco Accounts for Only Goal in Victory Over Mustangs

TOWSON, Md. – More than 67 minutes remained to be played tonight when Julien Greco (Shutesbury, Mass./St. George's School) scored to put Goucher ahead of Stevenson, 1-0, but when neither team was able to score the rest of the way, the Gophers (4-1) had their third win of the season over an in-state opponent.

Elijah Lais (Grantsville, Md./Northern Garrett) was awarded an assist on Greco's goal at 22:33. It was the senior forward's second goal of the season and his first one also came in a 1-0 victory (over Hood on September 1).

Justin Holbrook (Claymont, Del./Wilmington Friends School) made four saves in goal for the Gophers in recording his third shutout of the season. In addition, he lowered his goals-against average to 0.60.

The Mustangs (2-3) finished with a 14-13 advantage in shots and were awarded seven corner kicks, six more than the Gophers.
