Lions Answer Greco's Goal, Record 2-1 Victory

Gophers Score First for Seventh Time in Eight Games


READING, Pa. – Julien Greco (Shutesbury, Mass./St. George's School) provided Goucher with a 1-0 advantage over Albright when he tallied his third goal of the season at 11:30, but the Lions pulled even with the Gophers in the 25th minute and took the lead midway through the second half on the way to a 2-1 victory.

Elijah Lais (Grantsville, Md./Northern Garrett) picked up an assist on Greco's goal. The Gophers (5-3) have scored first in seven of their eight games so far this season.

The Lions (3-4-2) answered Greco's goal with one by Adam Toroniewski at 24:26. The 1-1 tie held up until Albright's David Folino stuck an unassisted goal at 72:35.

Between them, the two starting goalkeepers made only three saves as the Lions finished with a 13-8 edge in shots. Justin Holbrook (Claymont, Del./Wilmington Friends School) stopped two shots, one in each half; Albright's Ryan Barr made his only save in the first half.
