Men's Soccer, Mount Aloysius Battle to Double OT, 0-0 Draw in Season Opener

Cresson, Pa. - Goucher College traveled to Mount Aloysius for their season opener on Friday evening, and after 90 minutes of regulation, and another 20 of overtime, the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

First-year Jack Tchantchuing-Ngoko (Silver Spring, Md.) led Gophers with 2 shots, but the real star of the game was Senior goalkeeper Daniel Hendry (Lewisburg, Pa.). Hendry saved all 9 shots on goal by Mount Aloysius. Hendry stopped three shots in each half, plus three more in the second overtime.

Overall, the Mounties led the Gophers in shots, 18-4, getting off 8 right away in the first half.

The Gophers will play at home this Sunday, September 2, against Wesley at 4 PM.
