Michael Adekanmbi Garners USC All-Region Accolades

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College men's soccer junior forward Michael Adekanmbi was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region V Team as a Third Team selection, it was announced Tuesday afternoon.  

Adekanmbi, in his first season with the Gophers, was also a Landmark Conference Second Team All-Conference selection.  One of two players to start all 21 games for Goucher, Adekanmbi led the team in scoring with seven goals and 10 assists for 24 points.  A two-time Landmark Offensive Athlete of the Week, Adekanmbi finished the season ranked No. 5 in the conference in points, seventh in goals and second in assists.

The Goucher men's soccer team finished with 10 wins for the second straight year, finishing 10-8-3 overall.  The Gophers won their first-ever Landmark Conference tournament game, defeating Elizabethtown 3-2 in the opening round, and advanced to the ECAC semifinals.
