Michael Adekanmbi Nabs Initial Landmark Honors for 2024

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College men's soccer senior forward Michael Adekanmbi was named the initial Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week for the 2024 season, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.  

Tuesday's award marks the third time in his career Adekanmbi has earned Landmark weekly honors, as he garnered the accolade twice in 2023.

In a 1-0-1 week for the Gophers, Adekanmbi totaled two goals and an assist.  Against Cairn on Friday night, Adekanmbi had the Gophers' lone goal in a 1-1 draw.  On Sunday afternoon at Notre Dame Maryland, Adekanmbi had a goal and also assisted on Aquila De Carvalho's game-winning goal with just 2:14 remaining.

Goucher returns to action on Wednesday evening when it travels to Hood College for a 7 pm non-conference contest.
