CHESTER, Pa. - Host Widener University scored three times in the second half to erase a 1-0 deficit and post a 3-1 non-conference men's soccer victory over Goucher College Saturday evening at Quick Stadium.
- Goucher's (4-2-2) Andres Aristimuno rang a shot off the crossbar just over two minutes into the game.
- Jordi Lopez put a shot on goal for the Pride (3-3-2) that was saved by Gopher goalie Ale Sternini 10 minutes in.
- An Aristimuno shot in the 17th minute was stopped by Widener keeper Ryan Van Pelt.
- Sternini made another save in the 29th minute.
- The Gophers were awarded a penalty kick just past the 31-minute mark, which Will Frasier put away to give Goucher a 1-0 lead.
- Van Pelt made a save on an Anthony Ketelsen bid with just over 10 minutes remaining.
- Sternini had another save in the final minute.
- Carter Hoover tied the game for Widener just over four minutes into the second half.
- Moments earlier, Jonathan Alvarado had a shot saved by Van Pelt.
