BALTIMORE, MD - The Goucher College Gophers (1-1-2) hosted the Hood College Blazers (2-0-1) under the lights on Saturday Night. Despite the Gophers strong offense, the game resulted in 0-0 tie.
The Blazers began an early attack, with two corners in the first 10 minutes of the contest. Following this quick burst, the Gophers came rallying back with Bryan Machado and Andres Aristimuno leading the charge. To end the half, Goucher recorded three shots, with two corner kick attempts in the final five minutes.
Joel Lukoo opened the shooting in the second half, with a blocked attempt at 50:15. Aristimuno followed with a shot just over a minute later.
The Blazers regrouped, and shot back with two shots on goal within a minute and a half, both saved by senior Ale Sternini. Aristimuno had the final shot attempt of the competition at the 85:19 mark.
The Gophers outshot the Blazers 15-7, with nine of those shots coming in the first half. The teams were even with six corner kicks each.
