Head Coach Bryan Laut is entering his ninth season at the helm of the Goucher men's soccer team in 2018. Through his first eight seasons as head coach, Laut has put himself into a tie for second in career victories by a Gopher head coach in program history.

Over the past three seasons, Laut and the Gophers have posted 18 wins, five all-conference selections, and 26 Landmark Conference Honor Roll student-athletes.

2014 proved to be one of the top seasons for Laut, as he and his staff were awarded with the Landmark's Coaching Staff of the Year honor. That season, he led Goucher to an 8-6-3 record and its first-ever appearance in the conference playoffs.

The winning season marked the first time in over 20 years that the Gophers had tallied back-to-back winning marks (8-7-3 in 2013), while the four All-Landmark honors were the most in school history.

Prior to joining the Gophers, he served as the assistant head coach at Division I Lafayette College for six seasons. The Leopards posted winning records in each of those seasons while also reaching the Patriot League tournament. Lafayette won the conference title in 2005, earning a spot in the NCAA National Championship Tournament. During his tenure, the Leopards posted an overall mark of 64-32-17

At Lafayette, Laut served as the primary recruiting coordinator as the team began the process of becoming a scholarship program. He recruited a Pennsylvania NSCAA and Gatorade Player of the Year, as well as multiple NSCAA All-Americans and Regional All-Americans. Laut was additionally responsible for goalkeeping, team training, video analysis and scouting.

Laut began his coaching career at his alma mater, Assumption College. After serving as an assistant coach in 2000, he was promoted to the head position the following year. In his three seasons in charge, Laut totaled the third-most wins in the 54-year history of the program. The team was ranked in the top five in the NSCAA New England regional poll in both 2001 and 2003.

Laut graduated from Assumption with bachelor’s degrees in both management and history. He would later earn a master’s degree in sports management with a concentration in intercollegiate athletic administration from California University of Pennsylvania.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities at Goucher, Laut serves as the assistant athletic director in charge of the Decker Sports & Recreation Center, student payroll, and indoor game management.

He and his wife Megan are the parents of four children: Julia, Bennett, Hudson, and Peyton.
