Yue Earns Landmark Conference Accolade for Men's Swimming

BALTIMORE, MD - The Landmark Conference announced its weekly award winners, and Goucher College men's swimming earned Athlete of the Week honors from Yi Yue. 

Yue was a key part of the team's success this season, including the victory over conference opponent Moravian University this past weekend.

In the race, he secured three first-place finishes to help propel the Gophers to a 72-64 win. During the 100 Yard Freestyle, Yue recorded a time of 55.27 to beat out the second-place finisher by over two seconds. In the 200 Yard IM, he finished with a time of 2:22.29. Finally, in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, Yue earned first by just under three seconds with his finish of 1:09.73. 

The first year's recognition marks one of the first conference honors for Goucher Swimming this year as the Gophers continue their season, competing against Gallaudet and McDaniel on Saturday, Jan. 24th, set to begin at 1pm.
