Gophers Battle Through Day Two of Conference Championship
BALTIMORE, MD - The Goucher College men's swim team traveled to compete in day two of the Landmark Conference Championships on the campus of Loyola University Maryland. After day two of competition, the men sit in 10th with a total of 32 points.
First-year, Yi Yue, kicked off the competition for the men in the 200 Yard IM. Finishing with a time of 2:14.56, Yue earned 26th in the Preliminaries.
Following was the 50 Yard Freestyle Preliminaries, featuring four Gophers. Senior Ben Graff, led the pack, finishing 34th with a time of 23.78. Aiden Grimm followed closely behind with a time of 24.44 for 37th. Christian Houck (25.66) and Yakhani Dlamini (32.77) rounded out the race in 43rd and 46th.
In the final race for the Gophers, the 400 Yard Medley Relay team, consisting of Grimm, Yue, Josh Contreras, and Graff, was disqualified due to an early takeoff.
The Gophers are back in action tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 14th, for day three of the Landmark Conference Championships.
