Rangers Bury Gophers to Remain Unbeaten in Landmark

Third Straight Win For Goucher's First Doubles

MADISON, N.J. — Goucher won its third straight match at first doubles, as the pair of Seth Hoesman (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) and David Spivey (Cockeysville, Md./The Park School) earned a victory, but the Gophers fell against Drew 8-1.

As top pair, Spivey and Hoesman took home an 8-3 victory over the Drew (5-5, 3-0 Landmark) pair of Hunter Lathrop and Matt Imbo.

At first singles, Hoesman fell to Raul Smego 6-1, 6-2. Lanthrop got revenge on Spivey at second singles, 6-4, 6-2.

Pat Murnin (Salt Lake City, Utah/East) took a set from Imbo, but fell 5-7, 6-2, 6-2.

At fourth singles, John Bescoby (San Marino, Calif./Maranatha) fell behind after the first set but forced a third set before falling 6-4, 4-6, 6-0.
