Landmark Goes With Caracappa as Week's Top Player

TOWSON, Md. — Joey Caracappa (Wesley Chapel, Fla./Saddlebrook Preparatory School), who is undefeated at No. 2 in Goucher's singles line-up so far in 2014-15, today was named Men's Tennis Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference for February 23-March 1.

The freshman accounted for one of the two wins by the Gophers in singles play during a match against Washington (Md.), knocking off Dan Boate 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (5). Counting that victory, he is 4-0 at second singles and 4-2 overall.

Caracappa, who was also the Landmark Men's Tennis Player of the Week for September 15-21, also partnered with Seth Hoesman (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) to pin an 8-6 defeat on Vishnu Rajes and Boate at first doubles.
