Goucher Improves to 3-0 with Road Win

Middletown, PA. - The Goucher men's tennis team continued their successful start to the 2016-2017 campaign by posting a 9-0 setback on the Penn St. Harrisburg Lions on their opponents campus on Tuesday.  The Gophers were able to seize control of the match early on by winning all 3 doubles matches.  The Gopher netmen were led by sophomore Elliot Diehl (York, PA) and freshman Frankie Mullinix (Washington, DC) at number one doubles. The pair won their contest by a score of 8-3.  The momentum carried over into singles play where the Gophers were able to sweep all six singles matches without relinquishing a set.  The win improves the Gophers record to 3-0 on the young season.

Goucher will now travel to Fredericksburg VA this weekend to play in the South Regional ITA tournament hosted by the University of Mary Washington during the first weekend of October.
