Q&A With Men's Tennis Brian Kane On First Friday Group
During the week of December 14-18, the Landmark Conference is feature Goucher College. Today, men's tennis junior Brian Kane discusses his internship experience with the First Friday Group.
First Friday's Group was founded on two core beliefs: everyone deserves a place to belong, & everyone deserves to explore their creative passions. We provide ordinary people with the education, equipment & platform to gain extraordinary creative talents.
Describe your overall internship/volunteer experience.
I was able to help building a company from the ground up with marketing and financial aspirations.
What have you learned from your experience?
I have learned that everyone has talents and we need to be open to let people show and grow from unique experiences
How will this internship help you in your career moving forward?
The biggest impact this group had for me was networking. I met kids from all schools and Maryland and made close friends from every school in the area.
What kind of networking have you done at your internship/volunteering?
I have the opportunity to do an internship with JP Morgan because the founder of the company works there.
Do you have a favorite experience or story? If so, what was it?
My favorite experience was being able to dj at one of our parties in front of a few hundred people. It was the most unique experience I ever had and I am forever grateful because of it.
