Adebamgbe Reaches B8 Singles Final at ITA Regionals

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Omosesan Adebamgbe (Philadelphia, Pa. / Lower Merion) reached the finals of the B8 singles draw at the ITA Regional Championship that began play Friday on the campus of the University of Mary Washington.

Adebamgbe opened play by defeating Jeff Bauer of Lebanon Valley 6-3, 6-1, then in the semifinals he bested Larry Johnson III of Stevenson by a 6-2, 6-1 score.  Adebamgbe will face Alex Kulvivat of Randolph College in Saturday's final at 2 pm.

Adebamgbe and Brian Kane (Philadelphia, Pa. / Friends Select) were ousted in the first round of the championship doubles bracket, falling 8-3 to a pair from Southern Virginia.  They will face a duo from Swarthmore in the consolation round at 8:45 Saturday morning.

Kane dropped a 6-1, 6-3 decision to Nick Spera of Mary Washington in the championship singles bracket.  He faced Andrew Tran of Johns Hopkins in the consolation bracket Saturday at 10 am.
