Calis Nguyen Captures Landmark Men's Tennis Weekly Honors

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College men's tennis junior Calis Nguyen was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon after helping the Gophers beat Elizabethtown College in their Landmark opener last week.

Nguyen was a winner at No. 1 singles and doubles as the Gophers improved to 2-0 for the first time since the spring of 2021.  At No 1 singles, Nguyen was a 6-3, 6-0 winner over his Blue Jay opponent, while he and Gabe Naftoly were 8-3 winners at No. 1 doubles.

Goucher returns to action this weekend starting Friday at the ITA Southeast Regional hosted by the University of Mary Washington.
