Clay Allen Steps Away From Tennis Post, Heads to F&M
TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College men's tennis head coach and women's tennis interim head coach Clay Allen announced Friday that he is leaving Goucher after three seasons. Allen has accepted the head men's and women's tennis job at Franklin & Marshall College, a member of the Centennial Conference, in Lancaster, Pa.
A national search for Allen's successor will begin in the near future.
"It has been an amazing three years here at Goucher, and I want to thank everyone across the athletic community of making it feel so special at Goucher," said Allen. The men and women student-athletes that I have worked with have made this coaching experience special and one I will never forget."

Named head coach of the Gopher men's tennis program in November, 2021, Allen guided Goucher to Landmark Conference championships in 2022 and 2024, while reaching the conference final in 2023. The Landmark Coach of the Year this past season after the Gophers posted a 9-0 conference record, Allen compiled a 35-27 record in three seasons at the helm, including a 21-2 Landmark regular season record and 26-3 record including the Landmark postseason. He coached 17 All-Landmark Conference selections.
