Salisbury Takes Down Gophers in Non-Conference Matchup

SALISBURY, Md. - The Goucher College Gophers traveled to face the Sea Gulls of Salisbury University in the first match of a double header. The Gophers fell 7-0 against Salisbury.

• The Gophers were swept in the doubles matches with all the pairings falling 6-2, 6-3 and 6-2.

• Gabe Naftoly fought to a third set in the No. 1 singles, after dropping the first 4-6, he won the second 6-4, and then lost in the final set 4-6.
• In the No. 2 singles, Tadeo Asprella fell in a close match, dropping each set 6-4. 
• Benedikt Rummel fell in a third set to determine the outcome of the No. 3 singles. He won the first 6-3, and then dropped the next two 3-6, and 6-7. 
• In the No. 4 and No. 5 singles, both Calis Nguyen and George King fell in a 3-6, 1-6 score.
• Jackson Beam wrapped up the singles matches in a 5-7, and 1-6 loss.

• The men take on Methodist in Salisbury to follow the conclusion of this game.
